Voted one of the best Record Shops in the UK. It has a great selection of current and classic releases covering all genres. They have great descriptions on all the vinyl and CD's and plenty of bargains too.
New and second hand music. I know a few people who have sold their quality Hip Hop records here so if you are after some good Hip Hop and related genres then definitely pop in.
ACROSS THE TRACKS
When I first started DJing in Brighton this is where I built up a lot of my collection of funk, jazz and soul. A good place to dig in the crates.
This is in my opinion the best Indian food takeaway in Brighton. If a dish sounds good to you it probably will be. I recommend the King Prawn Puree and the Tandoori Mixed Grill.
Authentic Greek food. Lots of variety and fresh. Friendly service.
Great quality Syrian food. Tasty salads, fresh bread and lovely grills.
Up there with one of the best burgers I have had. Highly recommended.
A great family run Italian restaurant. Daily fish and seafood, pasta and pizzas all made fresh to order. Save room for the home made ice cream too. It can get busy so worth booking a table.
THE TROLLS PANTRY
This serves some of the best burgers I have ever had. This is a seriously good burger, street food style (so wrap up warm when it is cold but worth it). Freshly made, locally sourced and unique flavours. Highly recommended and addictive.
Based in central Brighton. The bakery at the back has tasty vegetarian pizzas.
Fresh & tasty Japanese food. Go for the Bento Box option for a nice filling variety.
WOLFIE'S OF HOVE
This does very tasty Fish & Chips but for me the homemade Pies are the real deal. There is a special each week and if the filling sounds tasty, you pretty much are guaranteed it will be.
This takes place every Friday 11am-3pm at Brighthelm Garden on Queens Road BN1 1YD. Central location with a great variety of stalls. I am a big fan of Dead Good Burrito https://twitter.com/deadgoodburrito
but everything is good at Street Diner.
Fast becoming a regular hang out for Tru Thoughts meetings. The Fried Chicken is great. A decent variety of Egg and Chicken based dishes all fresh and tasty.
This is slightly outside of central Brighton (near to Sussex University) but worth the drive, taxi or bus journey. Freshly cooked, good quality food. Sunday Roasts are amazing but it is best to book in advance. If you have seen the film Layer Cake with Daniel Craig it is a bit like the Country House restaraunt the gangsters eat in! It looks very posh but all are welcome!
Quality Indian food with a modern twist. It can get quite busy so probably best to book a table.
Good quality Chinese food. I have eaten here with two different people who have told me they do not really like Chinese food and they have both thought it was great. Freshly cooked and a nice variety of dishes.
MOSHI MOSHI SUSHI
The first restaraunt in the UK to have the Sushi on a conveyer belt. Good fresh food and some great juices too.
This is around the corner from the Tru Thoughts office's so a regular hang out. Great home cooked breakfasts and lunches with good service.
BARDSLEY'S FISH & CHIPS
Not on the seafront but I think these are the best Fish & Chips you will get in Brighton. They have been doing their thing since 1926. Fresh & tasty in a real "chippy" environment.
HELLS KITCHEN DELI
If you need a quick sandwich or snack during the day this place is recommended.
OLD BANK STEAK & RIBS BBQ
Good Barbecue restaurant. For Man Versus Food fans you should try the 56oz steak challenge!
Good value take-away and restaurant in central Brighton.
Great Fish & Chips. One of the places that many people say are the best in Brighton.
Authentic French food. They do a great breakfast / lunch. Well worth checking.
